The Founding Of GBC

2025

GBC entered a transition period due to relocation from its previous building at SMESCO / SME Tower (now the Ministry of MSMEs of Indonesia building), while preparing for a name and location change as part of organizational development to the next stage.

2020–2024

GBC regularly organized the annual Business Model Competition program involving participants from South Korea, Indonesia, and ASEAN, and collaborated with various institutions, organizations, venture capital firms, and accelerators.

2017

The Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) Korea transformed into the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), strengthening policy support and innovation for MSMEs and startups in Indonesia through GBC.

2015–2016

GBC expanded its programs for MSME and startup development and strengthened technology collaboration at the ASEAN level.

2014

The ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) was officially appointed to operate GBC based on a mandate from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) Korea (formerly SMBA) and KemenKop UKM RI.

2013

GBC began developing business incubation programs, training, and technology collaboration for MSMEs and startups.

2012

GBC began operating by implementing technology transfer programs, business consulting, and assistance for SMEs based on the green economy.

2011

On July 29, 2011, KemenKop UKM RI and SMBA Korea renewed the technology cooperation MoU as the official foundation for the establishment of the Green Business Center (GBC) Indonesia to support innovation-based SMEs and green industry development.

2010

On May 7, 2010, KemenKop UKM RI and SMBA Korea strengthened their cooperation through a technology implementation agreement focusing on green industry and capacity building for SMEs.

2006

On May 21, 2006, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia (KemenKop UKM RI) and the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) of South Korea signed a technology cooperation MoU for the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The following are several activities and programs that have been carried out by the Green Business Center (GBC) as part of efforts to promote collaboration, innovation, and the development of a sustainable business ecosystem.
